Photographed at the Three Rondavels in South Africa, Crowned in Mist captures the distinctive rock formations beneath a bank of low cloud.
The rounded peaks rise from the canyon in layers of deep green, rust and exposed rock, while the upper escarpment disappears into mist. With much of the distant landscape obscured, attention is drawn to the scale, texture and changing elevations of the terrain.
A dramatic view of the Three Rondavels shaped as much by the weather as the landscape itself.
