Photographed in the grounds of Wollaton Hall, Nottingham, A Quiet Encounter captures a young stag resting quietly amongst the long grass.
Still developing, his oversized antlers give him an unmistakable presence, while his calm expression tells a rather different story. He remained settled and watchful, seemingly as interested in his observer as his observer was in him.
A brief, peaceful encounter with one of Wollaton's younger residents.
